After the event, the client confirms hours and your payment settles to your bank account through Stripe. If the client does not confirm, payment settles automatically within 48 hours of the event ending. Waiting on a client is not your problem.
You are an independent contractor, so you work the gigs you choose and you handle your own taxes. You connect a bank account once through Stripe when you join. That is the whole setup.
If a gig includes them, they are listed on the gig card. Nothing about your pay is discovered after the fact.
One rule.
A booked gig is a commitment. The client is counting on you, and so is the rest of the crew. If you no-show a booked shift, you are removed from the platform. If something comes up, withdraw early and there is no penalty, the shift just goes back to the pool.

Is this a job?
No. Gigs on CrewForge are independent contractor work. You choose what to book, you set your own availability, and you handle your own taxes. You will get a 1099 form for tax reporting if your earnings require one.
Does it cost anything?
No. Joining is free, applying is free, and nothing is deducted from your rate.
How fast do I get paid?
Payment settles after the client confirms hours, or automatically within 48 hours of the event ending, whichever comes first.
What if a client cancels?
You are notified immediately and the gig comes off your schedule. Cancellation terms are shown on every gig card.
What happens if I miss a shift?
If you withdraw before the shift, nothing, the gig is reposted. If you no-show a booked shift, you are removed from the platform. This is the one rule and it is why clients trust the crews, which is why the gigs keep coming.
